I’m tryin to wire up my am right now and I can’t seem to find the blue remote wire anywhere. Have the head unit off on the swim platform and it’s definitely not there. Anyone have idea. If I can’t find it is it ok to tap off the 12v charger port that is at the helm?

Go behind the steering wheel storage. There is a blue remote wire there. The back of the boat is just a remote.

Yea I don’t see it?

You were looking in the right place before. Your stereo is on the swim platform. The blue wire should be coming out of the same harness as the speaker wires - can you post a picture of that? If it’s totally gone it may be easier to just buy a new wiring harness.

But, some amps can be set to sense a signal coming through on the RCA inputs and use that for a turn on signal. If your amp has that function it may be worth trying.

i wouldn’t recommend tapping into another 12v source. It would technically work, but it will stay on even if you turn the stereo off unless you run it through a switch. This could lead to unexpected battery drain.

Oh and here is a link to the wiring harness with the remote wire.

Well it must be there - it’s where all the speaker wires and power wire connect but the extra wires are missing. Here is a diagram that explains everything on the back of the head unit.
