Is it just me or is it difficult to register Yamaha boats for everyone?
I’ve been at the dmv for an hour with them telling me I’m wrong about the model. Yamaha AR 230, “what goes in the middle?”.
Nothing. Make is Yamaha. Model is AR230. Nothing else. She has a lady calling a dealer asking stupid questions?‍♂️
I had trouble like this in FL and in TX, I was hoping It would be figured out now that Yamahas are more common.?‍♂️

I had trouble at the DMV here in Arkansas last summer when registering my 2020 195S. They were confused about the make and model of the engine. I told them it was a jet boat, which seemed to confuse the hell out of them. They were looking for engine type and HP like an inboard/ outboard. I actually bought my boat in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and the dealer invoice included the galvanized trailer in the total price. The DMV had to have some document that put a value on the trailer separately or they couldn't register either, so I had to call the dealer and have them send an updated invoice. All they did was subtract $1500 from the boat price and added a line item for the trailer on that valued at $1500. :) The other issue I ran into here in AR was that they didn't tell me they needed a etching or photo of the hull number. Took me 3 trips to the DMV to get registered. Then a few months later, there was some other issue with the lienholder information.............so I had to call the dealer in FL again and so they could send the appropriate finance information with the lienholder listed in a specific way. The ended up re-issuing my registration and sent me a new one in the mail..............but not before I had to provide another picture of my hull registration number because the high-res photo I had provided them was "illegible". I'm sure some of my issues had to do with the fact that I bought out-of-state and registration processes differ from state to state. I'm just happy I got it registered though! So no, it's not just you..............lol

that sounds almost identical to my experience when I moved from FL to TX?
Another thing I don’t understand, OK doesn’t register boat trailers, a guy told me he paid $10 and registered his boat trailer, I want mine tagged so there is no issue when going to other states. They wouldn’t let me register it, said a regular utility trailer could optionally be tagged, but not a boat trailer?‍♂️
