2021 212 series folding tower height above windshield

I have a 2015 sx210 now and thinking about looking (maybe in a year when they are available haha) for a 2021+ 212 series with the folding wake board tower. But I'm concerned about the height when folded down. I have my sx210 on a boat lift with a canopy so I'm wondering about high above the windshield the tower is when folded. Can anyone help?

Not exactly what you are asking for but... if you go to Yamaha's page on the boats and look at the full specs for models, you can see that the SX210 has an on trailer height of 7'4" and the 212S a height of 8'5". Using those figures, you can most likely safely assume and a little over a foot difference in heights while on the lift.

No, I extended the cables.

Any info on extending the cables would be much appreciated. Waiting on my 2022 212XE and clearance into the garage is also a concern.

Mine folds to about 92”. I’ve been blocking it up without the cables as shown. Cables are disconnected.

I've been thinking about doing a sound bar like yours. Did your boat come with the HTX-4 or 6? Thanks!

The next time I get up in my boat I will get some pictures. I found a machine shop that had the identical cable and was able to add some cable (fuse them together, I know this is not the right terminology he used but he stated it was better than just soldering them together). He stated it is as strong as the Cable itself (not sure about that one, but looks good and does the job). One other bonus I have is once in the garage I have enough height to put the tower up, so it’s only down when taking it in and out of my garage. A couple things to keep in mind, based on trial and error. You need something to be almost no bigger than the cable, or it will catch and be a pain to use (the other problem is if you use a threaded extension it won’t work on the port side due to the hose in the area - or at least no well). Hope this helps it took me a long time to find a place to do this.

Do you have the tower folded down because of clearance issues? I read in my owners manual (I think) that you should store the boat with the tower down. I left mine up in my storage (indoor)

I only put it down to put it in and out of the garage. Once in the garage I put it up.
