Newbie here- 2012 sx190 intermittent starting issue

:Welcome: I would also check the battery for voltage and ensure all the wiring is clean and secure, we had a '13 that had the same issue. I checked the battery and sure enough and the wiring was indeed loose. Tightened them down and voila. In my research here I have learned that these boats are...

Brand new Yamaha AR 190 settlement cracks

Also, I believe in a couple instances, @Cobra Jet Steering LLC, has brought up the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, being a manufacturer himself he has cited the law for a couple threads if I recall. Might want to familiarize yourself with this one if your state law is not worth a hoot.

Brand new Yamaha AR 190 settlement cracks

I would suggest you go to the dealership owner/manager, screw the service guy, ( I would have the service guy show me a written response from Yamaha, not his word, and a point of contact @ Yamaha), those cracks are in so many different places the BS of it was caused by an impact just doesn't get...

    Yamaha AR190 - True Neutral??

Thought I'd throw my 2 cents in here, having had a '13 SX190 and now a '18 SX195, there IS a way to get CLOSE to a true neutral and I have achieved it on both boats using this VIDEO by @Leojay. If you have a boat that is forward or reverse tracking at neutral this little adjustment does a great...

    Service question: Throttle valve lubrication

I was going over some periodic service items today and ran into this: Throttle valve lubrication, it is pretty straight forward, but it calls for a rust inhibitor and I don't know one to use. I was at a Yamaha dealer today (not a boat dealer) and asked about it and was met with a shoulder...

Brand New Boat - Grinding/Rattling at Low RPM's - Video

Annoying, nothing to worry about, but unfortunately very common for our Yamahas. I agree with @Weeb the bucket is probably the main culprit, but the engine itself has been described as having a sound similar to nuts and bolts being shaken about. It actually sounds better than our 2013 SX190 we...
