Open bow because of motion sickness

The formula boats look awesome, but that's what I'm saying, I'm not sure I can handle going below deck in any chop, even in a boat 500k plus. It's unfortunate. I wonder if my youngest (not talking yet) gets motion sickness? Don't know, they can't tell us.

How to pair wire size, fuse blocks etc.

Thanks all, I'll take pics of the fuse block once installed. Three more dumb questions. 1. Tools for fishing wires? What do the pros use? 2. I noticed on Julien's cable run he had cable tubes (no idea what these are called) that matched the OEM, west marine have something similar? 3. I plan on...

How to pair wire size, fuse blocks etc.

I am in the process of adding some electronics and I think a first good step would be a fuse block at the helm. I'm unsure of sizing of cables and the block itself. For example, How do I know the fuse block can handle my garmin a USB charger and a few sets of lights etc? For example a...

Open bow because of motion sickness

Anyone go with open bow, thus Yamaha over a cuddy because the thought of being below deck, in the heat and humidity, and the boat bouncing around in chop makes me nauseous just thinking about it. I would love to have a queen bed below deck to have the young kids take a nap etc, full head .

WARNING EBay guarantee = No money, you pay shipping, never get item back!

Julian, you mentioned I could get your stuff for free, what do you have for "sale" I might have to take a peak :) jokes aside, I don't think the sellers are valued much on any platform (ebay, walmart, amazon).

    Bias ply to radial

We don't have discount tire near me, I'll either use a local tire shop (mr tire) or firestone. I'll bring them the wheels... @Mrhdvrod, Did you notice anything from moving from 14" to 15" wheels?

    2020 AR210 Trolling Motor

wish I lived near you then you could help lol. I'm not as handy, I don't think I could create the base. Same goes for your transducer bracket (different thread)

    2020 AR210 Trolling Motor

really nice, and the motor comes off of the mount easily? Which means that you can take the family out and its not sitting in their face, nice! Did you just drill into the fiberglass or into some structure below? 5 years from now, any damage from the forces applied to that area? Also, can...

    2021 252 FSH Opinion

you put a trolling motor on? Pics or write up? I was thinking of some mounting surface off of the bow. I fish off of the swim platform, would be awesome to have the motor, or at least the controls, there.

    general discussion

treating fabric is a pain. I boat a bottle of the fabric guard, says you have to clean the cover (mine is dirty as heck), let it dry, spray it (I assume off the boat so as to not spray that crap all over). and let it cure for 12-24 hours without dew? I don't have a lot of space, I would have...

    2021 252 FSH Opinion

@HangOutdoors, just think of all of the work you've done, you'll have to do it all over again With that being said, I had a 19' for a year or two and realized it was too small. Even the 24' I have could be larger, but i'm happy. The one thing missing from my boat is a trolling motor. I am...

Plz tell me this is suppose to be there.

So what's the decision? You have a few people in the bow, might be time to get a 21 foot :)

    Transducer Problem: Flashing 0 depth

no, its not that, at least for me. I'm in 80 feet of water and its flashing zero. I wet slip so I'm not sure if the last 6 years killed the transducer (wherever it is) or its something else.

    Transducer Problem: Flashing 0 depth

I do not, I did a quick search on westmarine and found this one (out of stock thought) RAYMARINE i40 Depth Instrument | West Marine looks like the sell depth only (and a way to mount a thru-hull transducer, so no cutting. Caveat is you will have to run the wires to/from the battery and helm.

    Transducer Problem: Flashing 0 depth

mine is the same, get a third-party gauge, I think the OEM gauge sucks. I purchased a garmin chartplotter to handle depth and water temp, among other things. My connext crashed a few weeks ago, got a rebooting message, once that happened the depth gauge worked for like 5 minutes, than back to...

    Bias ply to radial

Seems like a dumb question, but I am having trouble locating a place to swap my trailer tires. I've tried a performance place near me (I plan on using them for other stuff) and their distributor doesn't have the tire size, so they balked at the job. I then went to tire rack, I have my 5...

    2016 242x stereo upgrade

I'm looking to get more of everything out of my stock system. I really want some heavier bass, it's a little light. To go from stock to where i want it, I was going to do the following: 1. Replace my 6 factory 6.5" with higher quality, looking at Rockford Fosgate M2 with lights 2. Add another...

    2017 AR240 Depth Finder Failure

I have the same issue, I get flashing zeros and occasionally I get a reading for a minute or two, than back to flashing zeros. I did notice something that made it work for like 5 minutes though... I was connecting a phone to the stereo and the stereo crashed, I got a message saying system...

    AR210 Garmin 93sv Install

@HangOutdoors I'm having a shop install the chartplotter and transducer. I am going to talk to them about transducer placement and it might be a good idea to have the measurements for the bracket you made.

    AR210 Garmin 93sv Install

So the location of the transducer is a winner? I have the same transducer and I'll be mounting it at the end of the season. I also want the measurements for the aluminum part or I'll buy one lol Start the production like Julien and HangOutdoors
