    Boat Wax?

I might have to jump on the bandwagon. I'll have to buff out some scratches this year, so I plan on 1. Wash with Dish Soap 2. Use a buffer and remove scratches with 3M Perfect-It Medium compound 3. Seal with Rejex Quick question, if the 3M compound has wax (all in one) would it be ok to use...

    242xe subwoofer rattle

I can't figure out how to remove the cushion, not sure where to go with this. I currently jam a piece of wood between the cushion and the boat to mostly stop the rattle, it's pretty annoying though

    Another Magma Grill post

I have the MAGMA Newport 2 Infrared grill with the MAGMA bag. I mount the grill on the swim platform (extra table let for the purpose). I store the grill and table leg under the port bow seat, fits perfectly. If your grill is larger, I don't think it will fit... MAGMA Newport 2 Infrared...

Hey, I'm interested in getting a bag for my 2016 242x, what's the process?

    Yamaha Wakebooster kit

Thanks Haknslash, it does seem super easy to install or move, perfect! I'm definitely picking up the package although I don't need the board, already have two others, but whatever....

    Yamaha Wakebooster kit

Says we should only operate the boat at wake surf speeds with the booster attached, I'm wondering how easy it is to get on and off in the water? I am guessing you drive to your wake surf site, jump in, attach it, wake surf a bit, remove the item and call it a day. I am also guessing it is easy...

Wakesurf - what acceleration speed and a ballast question

I think my problem was slow acceleration. We have had some crappy weather here in Rochester and timing issues with getting everyone out again. I'll update our progress when we try again... Thanks for all of the comments, they really helped.

Wakesurf - what acceleration speed and a ballast question

Recently started wakesurfing on my 242 x and my girlfriend and daughter are having issues getting up. I got out there and I was standing in two attempts (never been on any kind of water-sport board). My daughter literally tried like 30 times. I am using the drive control with the following...

Broke down last night - Drive control check engine?

thanks for the info guys, I am definitely getting this because of my battery issues, just had this happen again this weekend after listening to music for about 3-4 hours. This time, I was more prepared. drive control error again, I then turned off all batteries at the switch. I have a battery...

Set custom user profile in connext drive control

I have a set of parameters for wakesurfing that I would like to keep stored as one of the options in connext under drive control. There are options for easy, advanced etc. Is it possible to create a custom profile? I adjusted the pre-built options but after removing the key they revert back...

[Connext] - Removing a stored bluetooth device?

who comes up with the UI for this stuff? Just put a button the screen to remove the device... Without this site I would still be wondering, I would probably have to ask the dealer or something....

Broke down last night - Drive control check engine?

So yes, I was idling when the pic was taken. This afternoon I went to the boat and it started right up no issues. I am guessing that the solar panels had a chance to charge the batteries a bit. Last night when the issue occurred, I was listening to music for about 2 hours on battery in...

Broke down last night - Drive control check engine?

I've had battery issues, just replaced one so maybe it's the other battery. Also, I might go charge them with shore power today and see if that helps.

Broke down last night - Drive control check engine?

I'll probably get the boat on the trailer somehow, that's going to be a mess, and take it to the dealer. I'll take a look for any obstructions on BOTH jet pumps since both motors were acting the same. I have a feeling this electrical weirdness I have (not able to place my switch on house only...

Broke down last night - Drive control check engine?

reading this thread https://jetboaters.net/threads/242-limited-e-series-drive-control-check-engine-message.15566/ the user did a control / alt /delete and started the motors? What is that?

Broke down last night - Drive control check engine?

So we went out to a spot where we eat dinner often, about a 5 minute drive. Threw the anchor and hung out for 2 or so hours, when I went to start the boat I got a check engine error "Drive control check engine" The motors would not start. After turning the key off an on a few times, I...

    E-Series Ignition/Battery/Key Question?

Disclaimer, I have an issue with either wiring or the house/start battery switch, so I can't follow my own advice here BUT I think the idea is to moor, and turn OFF the start battery to preserve the charge. Run appliances off of house, and when it's time to move, turn on the start battery and...

2017 242 XE New owner... A few questions!

I leave auto bilge on in connext and leave my batteries (house and start) to on. I completely remove my key. When I hang out at the boat I can hear the bilge cycle every few minute so I know it works. I am pretty sure you could just leave the house batter on. When I get to the boat, I pop in...

    broken trailer part

I went with one of the fulton jacks from West Marine, I think it is rated at 1500lbs. It was a simple bolt on and it's been great, much better than the stock jack. I'll see if I can grab a pic next time I'm next to my trailer. I did not move my bow stop.
