    Battery Diagram - 242 X

I think I have my batteries wired incorrectly. I cannot run my stereo with just the house battery turned on and parallel and start turned off. I noticed that last week, just talked to my dealer and he said they are definitely wired incorrectly. I am guessing I am going to look at the wires...

    Cleaning the carpets

I was thinking of tide, might give that a shot since that sounds pretty easy. I was going to hand scrub after saturating, but I like the broom idea, less work. it is a pain if I have to do this every time they get wet, I sort of ignored them last year and that's probably why they smell this...

    Cleaning the carpets

Took a wave over the bow this weekend and obviously the carpets were soaked. I left the boat uncovered that evening, it was beautiful out, and the next day they were still soaked, these carpets hold water like a sponge. I then removed the carpets, brought them home with the idea of a quick...

    Battery question

good point on the battery switches, I just leave them all on, maybe I'll just leave house on while listening to music and turn off the starter switch? I forget if that is the actual names of the switches. i also have a battery tender, I'll start using that as well.

    Battery question

So I've had the boat out two times this year, and yesterday was the first time I threw anchor and listened to music for maybe 1.5 hours and went to start the engines, dead. I sat there for probably 30 minutes and the solar panels charged enough to get started. Questions: 1. My dealer stored...

    Custom SwimDeck Ballast Bag project

I'm thinking custom swim deck bag and new wake wedge, I honestly don't know which side I would surf on, back when I was a kid I was goofy footed, but I might have outgrown that, not sure....

    Custom SwimDeck Ballast Bag project

Was there going to be a slight redesign or do we think sticking with the original design is the way to go?

    Custom SwimDeck Ballast Bag project

Looking to start wake surfing this season, been doing some reading, sounds like the stock ballast isn't enough, so I am very interested in the swim platform bag for the 24'. Where are we with that? There were a few available from @jcyamaharider? So adding this bag (getting the swim platform...

why do you guys use seadeck?

I agree with Julian, I plan on using what came with the boat until it wears out, I don't do any maintenance to the carpet like drying it out etc. I also wet slip0 my boat. It's like stock tires on a truck, use them until you need new ones then upgrade. I can see the benefits of seadek, looks...

*Teaser* New product from Gantlin Products

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but can moving the wedge from one side to the other be done out of the water? If not would i be able to back into a shallow area and switch side? Obviously it would be a pain to have to get on the trailer to switch sides. We are going to start wake...

    Advise needed

Can you get any pics of the interior? I bought new because I was concerned about breaking down on the water, so I wanted a warranty and piece of mind. That sounds like a really good price (how many hours) but if the motors are in question, you might want to keep looking. I believe I heard the...

    Another grill question

That's good point about mess, I definitely don't want hot grease over the bow seats, if it gets on the swim platform, much less of an issue. I was thinking the bow because I know there is a lot of traffic on the swim platform and I was thinking the grill would be in the way the entire time.

    Another grill question

Was it ok to post a new thread or should I have resurrected the old thread? Thanks Coheeba, you have the infrared grill? Same boat also, do you like it? Wish you got a different model? You use the swim deck table mount and you created your own "table leg" out of PVC? I would like to drill a...

    Another grill question

So I am thinking of purchasing a grill this year and I would like to mount it in the bow. The grill I am looking at is https://www.westmarine.com/buy/magma--catalina-2-infrared-gourmet-series-gas-grill--15972599?recordNum=4 I'm thinking the infrared will work better in windy lake conditions...

    Just picked up a 2018 242 s e seris

Awesome boat, I have the 2016 version. The only work I've done has been to the trailer, I changed the trailer jack and replaced the bow roller. My next steps are 1. Grill - probably bow mounted to leave the swim platform open 2. Additional ballast - might just throw bags on the swim platform...

    242-x ballast questions

So I finally had time to mess around with the ballast today, I did as some of you said, held the sys cntl button on connext to open up a diagnostic screen. From there I saw the calibrate and clicked that. I can now fill all of my bags, thanks alot for that! I then went about investigating the...

    242-x ballast questions

I tried my ballast for the first time ever and it looks like I have a few issues. 1. My starboard bag doesn't seem to be filling. I physically looked at all bags and that was the only one empty. I'm going to winterize in a month or so so I'll ask the dealer if I haven't resolved it by then...
