I miss my "Winner" trophies. They were the only thing I had ever won in my life. But nice upgrade.

Extending Tower Retention Cables--2018 212X--Thanks Haknslash

If the 2018 AR210 uses the same cable/threaded rod/disk system to retain the tower when folded, I'd think it would work. If you only need 2" more extension, then you could probably use the threaded coupler process that @haknslash describes in the thread linked in my first paragraph above.

Thanks for doing it first and pointing the rest of us in the right direction. Jeff

Looking for advice on a 2017 212X stereo upgrade

No sweat, @geohill, and thank you for the update. Whenever you can get a picture, it would be much appreciated. It may cause me to decide to put Revo 6.5's on the swim deck. Jeff

    Yamaha 212x Stereo

I'll give you my best shot answering some of these questions. I think, if wired correctly (parallel sets consisting of (1) the main cabin/bow speakers and (2) the sound bar/swim deck speakers) and with the DSP amp settings properly configured, the Wet Sounds system that comes with the boat...

    Yamaha 212x Stereo

The hardware that comes with your boat is pretty good. The four cabin speakers are 6.5" Wet Sounds 65i's (now apparently called the "Recon 6"). The soundbar is the Stealth 10 Core (5 speakers per channel), the swim deck speakers are 5.25" Wet Sounds, the sub is a Wet Sounds 10", and the amp is...

    Differences between 2018 and 2019 Yamaha ar210

As noted here and in many other threads, it comes down to personal preference. I put the Lateral Thrusters on after my first outing, and wouldn't own a pre-2019 Yamaha jet boat without a set. Particularly once you learn how to maneuver the boat by operating the throttles independently from...

    Boat show pricing?

Can't help you much on the pricing question, but like you, I was a first time boat buyer 5 months ago when we bought our 212X. If your experience is anything close to mine, you will be a very happy boat owner. Expect a few small gremlins, but they pale in the context of the overall experience...

    RIP Officer Natalie Corona--Davis, CA

The attached are pictures of Officer Natalie Corona, a 22 year old police officer who was shot and killed in Davis, California at 7 p.m. yesterday. After volunteering for several police departments, she graduated the academy in July, and finished her field training just before Christmas. She...

    Boat music

At the risk of obvious cliche, "Pontoon" by Little Big Town is a family favorite, especially when floating around in a cove at lunchtime.

Anyone have the JL Audio Slam Pack?

Thanks, but not really. Just love her deeply and don't know what I'd do if I lost her. And I'm reasonably fond of my wife too.

Anyone have the JL Audio Slam Pack?

"Yes, Dear, that's perfect. Thank you so much for the help. Couldn't have done it without you." Particularly in a community property state, the jet boat you save will be your own.

This looks pretty effective and it won't rip your pump off

I visit this forum mainly because it's highly educational, particularly in the vocabulary department. Here's my new "word of the day": I will be using this one regularly in both conversational and electronic communications. Jeff

    STOLTZ Roller - Which one for 2014 212x ??

Several of us have ordered our Stoltz parts from Coyote Manufacturing. Assuming your 2014 has the same (or similar) Shorelander trailer as the newer 212 boats, attached is my invoice with the part numbers for all of the pieces needed (it's a 4" roller), as well as the phone number and an e-mail...

    Seat coming out while traveling.

I've towed several hundred miles, including 60 mph+ freeway miles, and no problems with the two small bow jumpseat cushions moving around. '18 212X. I think you'll be fine.

2018 212 Limited S question (first time be gentle)

Welcome! The picture Haknslash posted of the 21 and 24 foot boats pretty much tells the story of what you get for the extra 3 feet, and the bow gets a good chunk of it. I will say that the 21 ft boat's bow is a pretty good size for a boat of that length. Our friends constantly comment on how...
