    Limited lifetime hull warranty

My 2018 has a 5 year hull warranty, so I'm guessing it started in 2019.

    Yamaha 212x Stereo

Good luck and please report back with what you find. I know one member here who had a late '18 242X and his speakers were set up properly, in parallel. It's my sense that some of the earlier model year boats were still in series. Jeff

    2019 212X Top Speed Issue

These boats are a bit sensitive to weight as far as top speed. How many people on your boat at 45 mph? With 4 adults, my 2018 212X generally see about 46. With 3, about 47-48. With two, 48-49, with me alone and some of our usual gear removed, 51. Also, the location of the weight plays a...

    212x bimini coverage

We have a 2018 212X. Yes, the bimini is on the small side. It provides ample coverage, in my opinion, for 2-4 people sitting in the captains chairs and right behind them. Would I like it bigger? Sure, but if it were longer out the back, the tower tow point, with the tow line designed to go...

Help - port engine making rattling sound

Wanted to respond so you know someone is reading this. Based on the description, it sounds drive-related, rather than internal engine. If you were describing a loud knocking sound, rather than a clanking sound, I'd say maybe internal like a rod bearing or piston. While I guess a timing chain...

Not a good day for me today. Can’t play near full volume

Thank you for the explanation. Edit: I was thinking about your post and I now remember that the Wet Sounds swivel clamps come with (I think) three choices for bolt lengths to secure the clamps to the tower, depending on the diameter of the tower tube. The instructions really didn't explain...

Wet Sounds Rev 8 Upgrade Project

Thank you for the kind comments. No, I really didn't look closely at the Sinister series. Was focused mostly on either the bridged HTX-4 or the SYN-DX2, once it became clear that the existing HTX-6 amplifiers weren't going to be right for the added Rev 8's, no matter how I configured them...

Not a good day for me today. Can’t play near full volume

Glad you figured that out. Were you using the TC3 swivel clamps on your Rev 10's? And did that long locking Allen socket screw come loose, causing the speakers to spin? The reason I'm asking is because I just used that same setup on a Rev 8 installation and noticed that that locking...

Wet Sounds Rev 8 Upgrade Project

So, I have posted several threads here about the debacle that was my Yamaha 2018 212X factory audio system wiring. Love the boat. Love the Wet Sounds audio hardware. But Yamaha's attempt at connecting it all together was nothing short of a travesty. After dozens of hours of rewiring, adding...

    Jetting at altitude...

Was up at Tahoe early last month. With two adults we saw 40 mph at about 6800-6900 rpm, and with six adults we saw 36-37 mph at about 6500-6600 rpm on a 65 degree calm morning. At sea level, on a 55 degree morning, with 1 person, I saw 51 mph at 7700 rpm. Our boat is bone stock. I think...

Courtesy Light trouble after connecting LED Speakers

I have my Revo 6 LEDs throughout the cockpit and bow attached to the courtesy light system, just as you described. Six lighted speakers in all. I have not experienced the issues you described, and everything seems to work as intended. I'm interested in knowing what you find out through the...

    2019 212x Bimini

I believe that the 2017-19 212X's were designed to have the tow line fed over the top of the bimini, when it is open. PJ73, does the line hit the underside of the bimini frame or ride on the sound bar when you feed it up through the bottom? Do you by chance have any pictures on the water...

    2017 212X Top Speed

I continue to be impressed by this boat's performance. Up at Lake Tahoe this week, elevation 6230 feet, 5 mph winds, 100% fuel, my wife and I hit 40 mph on calm water on July 1. Didn't happen to get an RPM reading, but I'm estimating about 6900 or so. Yesterday, we went out with six adults...

    Connector help

They are called Deutsch Connectors. That one, based on the stamp, is part number DT04-2P, which I think means it's a two pin plug. There are pins inside which need to crimped to the wires for your inflator, and unfortunately it takes a special tool to properly do so. Like a couple hundred...

    Yamaha 212x Stereo

I can do so via the fader control. I have only the sound bar set up on the rear channels, so I can crank that up relative to the interior speakers for watersports. Works ok, but is kind of the cheap way to do it. Because I have a different head unit, I don't have the zones as you do. The right...

    Yamaha 212x Stereo

One of my Wet Sounds amps is being fed the speaker/high level signal from the Polk head unit in my '18. The other amp (which I added) is line level. It works great, once the amp's levels are properly set. I think you're on the right track.

    Yamaha 212x Stereo

No idea. Probably need to talk to Fusion and/or Wet Sounds.

    Yamaha 212x Stereo

The OEM amp uses what is called a DSP connection to the head unit. And yes, Wet Sounds makes an identical amp with the usual RCA inputs that you buy to add on as a second amp. The model is the HTX-6, if you want 6 channels.

    Yamaha 212x Stereo

Suggest you download the manual for the NSX online. I was looking at it and it seems like there might be a harness that plugs into the back of the Fusion with RCA leads for an amp. Google RA-70NSX and the manual will come right up
