    Head Storage Modifications

Thanks @Amar Nanduri. I wasn't sure if the '15+ years were different specs at all.

What size screws did you all use when screwing the shelf into a '15 plus 240/242?

Looking for a $20k or less tow vehicle go

@Signal12 how many miles were on that Expedition? I just started looking and it seems like thats car we will end up with. They seem to be much more reasonable than the Suburban in price and since we have 4 kids a truck won't fit all of us.

    Buying Advice - AR240

I found a very nice used '15 for well under a new and it had $10k worth of upgrades. I would look that route if I was you and had hesitations. First boat, hadn't test drove a '15 until my water test the day I bought it. (I had been on a friend's '14 once). Everything I knew about them were from...

Running from Irma with bent trailer!

@GoVols01 I represented a dump truck driver a few years back. One of the wheels that is elevated when driving without a load came loose. Bounced across 4 lanes of traffic on I-75 N, went over the concrete and into the southbound lanes. It landed on top of a car driven by a 20 year old kid...

Running from Irma with bent trailer!

Obviously a no win situation and arm chair quarterbacking from the comfort of a safe dry home does no good at this point. What I took from this story is the absolute brotherhood (sorry ladies, couldn't think of a better word)of this site. People springing into action looking for repair shops...

    Throttle Lever too Tight?

That could be it. It's also noticeable with Perfect Pass too. I will try that adjustment. Thanks!

    Throttle Lever too Tight?

@Slfmde I just bought a 2015 AR240. It came with throttle sync, but I still have the same issue with the starboard throttle. I have to disengage the throttle sync because the RPM difference when the levers are able to be connected is 800-1000 different. Also, my steering is also very stiff...

Bimini 2017 Trip - A voyage of self discovery

@Amar Nanduri thank you for this. You said what I'm sure many new to boating feel. It wasn't the Bimini part that had me captivated. It was you describing how little you knew when you started. The learning curve you faced and how you overcame it. The fact that, while this forum is amazing...

One cleanout port dry and warm

Didn't notice any issues today. Pulled the plugs after we got done and both were full of water. Starboard was warm water and the other was just normal lake water. Will definitely keep an eye on it. If you think it's something more serious I'm all ears. Thanks guys.

One cleanout port dry and warm

Just pulled the boat out of the water after cruising the river for the night. Took the portside cleanout plug out and it was full of water like normal. The starboard side, however, was dry and very warm. I had thought that the boat was loud and I thought I felt a vibration in the floor, but I...

***WARNING*** 2015-18 YAMAHA “AR” BOAT OWNERS WITH FORWARD SWEPT WAKEBOARD TOWERS

I thought somebody might find this interesting since there has been a lot of talk about warranty claims on this thread. I just bought a '15 AR240 a couple of weeks ago. I had to take it to a dealer to have an inspection done so that I could transfer the warranty over. Admittedly this may be on...

    A Pirate Looks at Forty

Sounds good @BlackandTan. And I totally agree on the cover. The live version with him and Dave Matthews is great too. It was a little better when I was an under 40 victim of fate of course...

    Brookville Lake

@Bruce Vance We were at Brookville yesterday. Also saw several Yamahas out. Since it was our first time out with the boat I didn't venture over to any. But I also wondered how many were forum members. Hoping to get out there later this week weather depending.

    A Pirate Looks at Forty

Thanks guys! Went out for a couple of hours. Thanks to all the info on here we didn't look like complete rookies at the ramp. Saw several other Yamahas at Brookville Lake too.

    A Pirate Looks at Forty

My favorite song, and as fate would have it, a couple of months after turning 40 and years of dreaming about it, I can finally say this pirate finally has a ship. Bought @Kennc's AR240 a week ago. Tomorrow is the maiden voyage. Since I did the welcome thread a couple of years ago I would like...

    Is this a good deal?

Thanks for linking this. I have honestly seen some hellaciously good deals on this forum and just wasn't ready to pull the trigger yet. 4 kids (9-2) and activities, etc. leave me wondering if boat ownership is better as a dream then as a reality. It's a regular conversation in our house since we...

    Is this a good deal?

Somehow my smiley face didn't come through in the title . Yes I'm kidding. I damn near did a spit take when I saw it.
