    No drama cooler thread!

Thanks no drama cooler thread... i now have a Ozark Trail Softsided cooler to try out under the seat. I'll report the zipper is very.... stiff.... maybe it needs broken in or a splash of water to loosen up... if not I'll be loading it up with silicone spray lube... /END stream of consciousness

You have got to be kidding me ...<Closed for Replies>

Since the Russians are getting kicked off Facebook for stirring the pot, maybe folks are just needing a good ol trolling.

Oil injection 270 exciter problems 2006 way to much oil

There are check valves that are intended to prevent oil leaking down into the cylinders over time. If those have been removed or aren't functioning it would only be a problem after long periods of not running.

Oil injection 270 exciter problems 2006 way to much oil

The first year or two had fixed rate. It's worth checking out because that would make a pretty big difference. Enough that dealerships replaced some with variable.

Oil injection 270 exciter problems 2006 way to much oil

The early exciters didn’t have a variable rate oil pump and many of those were replaced at the dealership for too much smoke. If your pump doesn’t have a throttle cable going to it then you have the nonadjustable rate pump. They are very smoky at startup and during long idle. They can be...

    LX2000 swim platform build

After seeing picks of the LS 210 platform and support in this thread https://jetboaters.net/threads/lx210-swim-platform.4448/ I decided I could make this for my LX2000. I used 3” 3/8” thick aluminum angle for the outside cantilevers and 2.5” 3/8” thick aluminum for the center brace. One...

    Top end rebuild

Download the manual for the LS2000. If you cant find that then look for 97 gp1200. Same motor.

    Top end rebuild

Uhhh, don’t get anything but OEM gaskets and quality pistons. You could do it in the boat, but imagine trying to get three pistons with rings to line up at the same time as you lower the cylinder bank down together ensuring you don’t snag a ring... If you can imagine how that would work...

    LS2000 steering upgrade

Some of the backlash will always exist due to the way the water leaves the jet. When going straight there is space between the jet of water and the nozzle. As you turn it takes some rotation to make contact with the nozzle and the water jet. It’s going on o feel sloppy. Embrace the sloppy. It...

    Towing Vehicle

You’re kidding right? Have you seen this? https://www.autotrader.com/car-reviews/2016-toyota-land-cruiser-vs-2016-lexus-lx-570-whats-the-difference-249779 They have adjustable suspension too. :)

    Towing Vehicle

Lexus LX 570. Same as or better than land cruiser and you get the Lexus service. Easier to park than a sequoia. Better off-road than almost anything.

    What's the other site?

I’ll second that, which keeps me going back and forth. Unfortunately, very little new 2-stroke content is being posted anywhere. Which just means these boats are the most reliable. Where’s my fire suit?

Fiberglass Sub Box Help Needed - now solved and digressed

I'm sorry I misspoke about some of what I meant. Making a sub boomie doesn't seem like an option to me and so I didn't address that part of a small box. I would always eq the system flat and expect it to perform down to the bottom of the range in any size box meaning cut that hump out with eq...

Fiberglass Sub Box Help Needed - now solved and digressed

I'm not really sure what you're getting at, the woofer in either situation would have the same placement on the inside of the boat. What happens behind the mounting point doesn't change the radiation pattern. The physics of low frequency waves is that they bend around corners more than high...

Fiberglass Sub Box Help Needed - now solved and digressed

That's true. I didn't think it was likely this box would be ported. Port design is often sort of made up in the car world, but done right will give you a boost in output at specific frequencies, but IB will still get lower. The box acts like a highpass filter. I disagree that it's less...

Fiberglass Sub Box Help Needed - now solved and digressed

I get flamed for this, but there’s no reason to put in a box from an audio perspective. Maybe you need to store things in that compartment and you don’t want them to touch the sub. I get that. Car audio people are especially prone to using a box when it’s not needed. they say things like “this...

Yamaha factory tour report (It was Awesome)!

They already own http://www.suncatcherpontoons.com/ and G3 Yamaha is a pretty boring company. That’s a good thing in my opinion, no surprises. No idea what their big secret could be though. Outboard sounds reasonable. Larger would be pretty easy if not over the top.
