Video of the DRiVE system in the 275SD boat

Looks like a good idea to me, but I'm thinking fixed position paddles would have been better to avoid "paddle confusion", however our quick steering means the wheel doesn't turn all that much to lose orientation... IMO for the $130k top model, Yamaha should have blown away everyone with...

New Yamaha 275 video released on YouTube yesterday.

Anything over 8'6" you're supposed to get a permit. NJ was 8' for years and people towed their 8'6" boats with no hassles...

30 & 60 Second Promo video of the 275 Series

Kinda looks like Yamaha engineered in a major blindspot to the right for the driver?

Video of Yamaha 275 Stern swim up seats

Yamaha's so paranoid about body cavity jet flushing, I bet there's another set of engine cutoff switches to deal with in these contraptions!

    Yamaha 275 Series Boats

What's pathetic is Whitecap mfg makes a stainless version that will not corrode in one season for not a lot more!

    Yahama 27Se here it is

Starts at $99k, $15k adds the tower with a bimini top and another $15k adds the hardtop... Those DRIVE paddles actually seem like a useful idea. They kept the boat light, so that 500hp should get it into the 50's mph. no problem. Triple pees holes per side?

    Yahama 27Se here it is

That is an odd detail. If it's not available for another year, maybe this is more of a concept or prototype?

    2019 Miami boat show attendees?????

Nice find - sharp looking boat, looks like most of the extra 3' is for the rear loungers?

27' new Yamaha model 275 jet boat to be unveil Thursday at the Miami Boat Show

This will give Yamaha back their bragging rights as the largest jet drive powered boat available! Curious to see the performance figures - doubling the 192's notorious WOT fuel consumption is 42gph, the 9' beam means a significantly heavier boat so top speed may not exceed 50mph by much. Yamaha...

    Is this even legal

That rear towed trailer has got to be joke for the pic!

    I wanna buy a boat

We're Yamaha jet boaters here, not outboarders :) Personally I'd kick in another $1650 above the Yamaha 150 price and get what should be the new design Mercury 200hp V6!

Dry slip / rack storage on the Hudson

Barnacles and other marine growth. Stony Point is brackish so probably not as big an issue as seawater, but I'd wouldn't want to leave it in for the summer.

Dry slip / rack storage on the Hudson

Looks like my Jersey shore boating days are over, where I enjoyed the ideal dry storage with on-demand launch & retrieval service. I'd like to keep the boat on the Hudson next summer and can't find a marina offering any type of similar rack storage and service. Patsy's Bay Marina in Stony Point...

    I need advice!

For a rental boat sitting in salt water all the time and getting hard use by inexperienced operators, not sure if a Yamaha jet boat is the best choice. Although given all of the jet ski rentals out there, maybe it is possible. Those cheap and simple outboard powered pontoon boats seem to be...

    Should I insure my boat?

I'm in a similar situation, never got insurance on my older (cheap) boats and didn't when I got my 2016. I do have a boat liability rider on my homeowners (only costs a few extra bucks) as well as liability umbrella coverage (also reatively cheap). I posted in that marina fire thread I thought...

    Storage fire....complete loss

Curious who ends up paying your claim. After years of paying for boat insurance I decided to "self insure" under the assumption that significant damage was most likely to occur while under the "care" of the marina and they would be liable for any damage (I do have personal liability coverage for...

    Jet boat over out board?

These are not ocean boats and jet drive is not the best choice if you have debris in the water. Plenty of really nice choices out there with a proper high freeboard and outboard power!

    Gas <what octane level?>

Pretty sure Yamaha recommends 89 pump octane for the 1.8l engines - that's all I can get a the Jersey shore and they run fine.

    242 e-series throttles won’t sync

I've wondered if that was a feature because mine seem to do that also - almost makes the single lever mode unnecessary since the dual throttles are so easy to use. As far as not syncing at full throttle I've noticed that also, and backing off a bit syncs them right up. We can empty our fuel...

Full Boat Covers Going Down Side of Boat?

Didn't your '18 come with the new shipping cover that covers most of the hull? If you're not using it, I'd like to buy it!
