    Towing tube

I towed the tubes using the tower. I have even had multiple tubes at one time with no issues. It helps keep the nose of the tube up. Some people got stress cracks where the tower mounts but I never did.

    1st Insurance Claim - UGH...

Just curious since this destroyed the dock does the home insurance cover the boat as well as the dock?

One picture of your last outing.

Great place! I used to go there from Savannah before there was much of anything but the locals. It was a beautiful place!

    Freak boating accident

Wow I am glad nobody got seriously hurt! That can't be a good thing. I can't imagine my anchor line pulling up like that. That is many feet away and down in the water. Crap sometimes I struggled to get the anchor up. How in the world did it fly up, maybe 20+ fee at least, go around a neck and...

Do you tie your boat to your lift?

I always tied my boat to the dock when she was on her lift. That way if anything happened the boat stayed. I also had a steel cable wrapped in plastic that I ran across the back through the cleats and handles then I wrapped it around the dock posts and locked it. I did that so it wasn't as...

Hard to start then rough idle

Agree with the above you need to check your error codes since it may provide some insights.

A second battery, yes or no?

All the above makes sense but I always but two batteries in every boat I have ever had. I liked the ability to switch between the two as well. It wasn't for when the boat was at the dock but when I was on the water. I wanted to know for sure I had a way to start the boat no matter what and get...

    Line-X'd the Keel

That looks good! How did the get the parts of the hull resting on the trailer and the tight spots near the rear? It doesn't look like they life the boat off the trailer.

    Yamaha Horn not working

Bad ground/return wire? If the horn works out of the boat there are only two connections. These horns are bad. I had to replace mine and just got a bigger better one (yes I had to make the hole bigger). Well worth it. It was a 2010 so no Connext.

    Clean out plugs

There are lots of posts on how to do this. If you are lucky just put some ice on it for awhile and see if you can't get it out.

    Help Diagnosing engine issue

I am not familiar with these boats but I do tinker with engines in general. From what you described you are not getting fuel to that cylinder. It sounds like you have checked and fuel is reaching the carb. From what you are describing I assume you have a carb for each cylinder. If that is the...

Welcome. I had mine up in Ga. We absolutely loved our 242 LS!

    Refueling in the water

I had along walk to my dock as well. I looked at the bigger 25 gal tanks but you can't lift them and they are very heavy to guide downhill. I got a four wheel cart with higher sides and it would hold three 6 gallon jugs with no problem. Once I got to the dock I used the siphon. I just kept...

Glad she got fixed. Stay safe up there and hopefully before long you will have your family with you!

Possible HydroLock on Sea Doo Islandia.

I agree with the above. Hydolock is when something that is supposed to compress air gets liquid in it at a quantity more than it can compress (which it can't) and then can't complete it's typical length of travel. This is usually associated with the combustion engine. Cobra Jet Steering not...

    In Water Marina Storage Advice

I had mine wet slipped for several years. It was a covered slip but I still keep the cover on her. I had power to run the charger. There was water there as well so clean up was easy. I took her out twice a year to clean the hull very good and do all the maintenance. We went out about every...

    Non-Rainy Warm Day in Georgia

We were there for about four years before we bought a lake house at Hartwell. We went up to the north end to avoid some of the big boats and have a good place to tube and wakeboard with the kids.
