    I don't think the 20Db difference was recorded at the same RPM. RPM for RPM, there isn't that much of a difference.

    Took another look at my cup holders this weekend, which by the way were full of water. It hasn't rained here in days, I would have thought they would have drained empty by now. And honestly, I don't think my cup holders have styrofoam at the bottom. The white I see through the hole in the cup...

    Scarab 215 wake or 255 Wake?

    We love our 255. I would suggest the 255 if you plan to have 10 people and sit them comfortably. Our 255 has the twin 200hp motors and it is already breaking 50mph while still in break in at 5 hours.

    So the white I'm seeing at the bottom of the stainless steel hole is styrofoam and not fiberglass? I figured the white I was seeing was fiberglass but it makes sense after re-reading your posts.

    I'll have to take a pic next time I get on the boat since its tied up to a buoy now and I would have to row out to it, lol. Basically when i look into the cup holder i see a hole in the stainless cup holder but then it seems like there is no hole drilled into the fiberglass to allow the water...

    I uncovered the boat today and found a few cup holders had water in them. Specifically the holders behind the captains chair and passenger chair. The actual stainless steel holder has a hole in it, but the fiberglass does not. Do I drill it out?

    Oh wow. The top mechanism has not backed out of its mounting but the rod was a little loose. After we tightened the bolts on the rod the hatch has not flown up.

    Fit on the engine hatch isn't real good either. As you can see from the picture below, the gap on both sides is nowhere near equal. Same fitment issue on the rear of the hatch looking from the swim platform at the hatch. Not a big deal I guess, Maybe I'm just being picky on a $60,000 boat...

    On our maiden voyage this weekend the engine hatch popped up three times, while under power. We had somebody sit on the hatch seat until we got back to the dock. The pin that the latch closes on was a little loose so we tightened the nut on the pin and was all good on the next ride. Hopefully...

    Boat is in, we pick it up this Friday at 1!! I'm glad somebody in this thread suggested doing a sea trial. The dealership originally wanted to only give us a "land presentation", but I pushed for a sea trial and they obliged. Hope to be cruising around Lake Geneva this weekend if the weather...
