SOLD SOLD: everything is gone, enjoy your summer on the water!

It should mostly fit an AR, but the AR has SeaDek on the swim platform where the 242 has seat cushions, so you would need to order those two pieces of SeaDek directly from JBP.com

    Greetings from Florida Keys

Only downside is the 27" draft, so at low tide we fill the front ballast to get out of our shallow basin, but we knew that going in. Surprise is wave size and consistency even in shallows; that picture is in about 10' of water, and on breezy days we can go bayside and get a fun "skimboard-size"...

SOLD SOLD: everything is gone, enjoy your summer on the water!

Sold my 2015 242LS last year, couple things left in the garage, just trying to keep them out of the landfill: 1) rubber cover for the Polk transom-mount remote unit (you pay shipping, should be <$3) 2) You know those spring pins in the bimini poles that rust/break? I still have two, if you...

    Greetings from Florida Keys

Hey JB'ers, hello from Key Largo, where we are spending our #quarantime out on the water surfing the G25. Logged-in to post an ad for some SeaDek and ballast system components, so also sharing some Florida sunshine and good vibes with the JB family as we all power thru these crazy times. Be...

The new ride (since a few of you asked)

We are in Key Largo at MM102, PM when you are headed down and maybe find a beer or at least provide some local intel if you need

The new ride (since a few of you asked)

Yes it is a Coastal Edition, true you never see these boats down here, and no tinkering planned for now. Here are a few pics from Sunday morning, not a "Lake Atlantic" day but typical ~2' seas in 13' of water. Ignore that approaching storm, sunny and poolside by 11:00 that morning. ;-)

The new ride (since a few of you asked)

Hey JBers, this forum has done an awesome job working together to get our boats to surf well, but appreciate that most well also readily admit that it is a tough comparison to a dialed-in dedicated wakeboat. We moved back to a wakeboat, and per request here are a few pics of the new Nautique...

    SOLD 2015 Yamaha 242 Limited S $42K

We have had a great 3 years on the 242, but bit the bullet and moved on to a dedicated wakeboat. Loaded and ready-to-go: - 2015 Yamaha 242 Limited S - Both engines have ~275 hours - JBP Thrust Vectors and Lateral Thrusters - New WSM jet pump housings with replaceable wear rings - New Connext...

DIY Pipe Booster for improving wake

@Mainah great stuff, and appears to be consistent with the first videos coming out with the official Wake Booster. Summer of 2019 will be the year everyone gets these things really dialed-in! BTW, apologize to all for lack of progress after posting my devices and test plans earlier in this...

DIY Pipe Booster for improving wake

We have only been out a couple times but wife wanted to ride and was in no mood to spend flat-water time testing. So, no further progress to report yet, sorry!

DIY Pipe Booster for improving wake

It's been blowing a bit here so have not been out on the water, but here is my first shot at a Mainahbooster and DIY Wakebooster. Mainah's pipe was a 3" elbow with the flange end cut off, so still a big angle. I used 4" pipe and chose a gentler angle that closely resembles the Wakebooster...

    @Mainah, very helpful, thank you.

DIY Pipe Booster for improving wake

@Mainah, agreed with the rest, this is an interesting approach, I am optimistic on the theory behind WakeBooster and this may actually be an enhancement by physically piping the flow to where we want it. I plan on doing some testing over the next few weeks and will add this to the plans...

Looking at buying a Center Console Jet Boat--recommendations?

@Jare , directly to your question, I like Cobra's suggestion to get your last boat first, so would checkout the 21' twin engine. Two-foot disease is real, you will appreciate that extra room when the grandkids visit, and two motors is better than one especially on the ocean (we have had the...

2018 Florida Powerboat Club Miami to Key West Poker Run.

Very cool, and congratulations to your buddy for bringing home the hardware! We were down there Fri/Sat as well, spent Fri watching races on the water from the Negoseator yatch (2:17 in the video), was living pretty large for a day, then back to reality. Great times in Key West (though there...

Florida Keys - Marathon - Christmas - Advice Wanted

BTW, a couple direct answers to your direct questions: - How do you find clear conditions, good spots where charters go -- kinda mentioned this earlier, but just call one of the local charter companies and ask for recommendations, Keys peeps are pretty easy-going (but do NOT ask them for...

    Wake jump height

Hey Spatty, congratulations on the new ride. As Jgorm suggests, it's 90% technique and so many little things go into getting big air: approach angle/speed, timing, pop/weighting, body position, not to mention board design. Guessing the video above has a ton of constructive pointers, and as...

Florida Keys - Marathon - Christmas - Advice Wanted

Hey Peter, we live in Key Largo so know the local scene pretty well, but your post references Marathon and I have no experience down there. Few things: 1) Call a local dive shop in Marathon and ask for snorkeling info, commercial boats don't have any real "secret spots" so usually happy to...

    Wake Booster

Ha, yep, here is my previous Centurion at Lake Powell, interestingly enough that is one 1100# sac in the v-drive locker and 500# of lead on the sundeck (plus a couple ballast boys). Water flowed over the back corner so we had to duct-tape the rear vents to keep water out. Crazy wave, but this...

    Wake Booster

Definitely see some potential here. Redirecting the water may indeed help with jetwash, but also adds some water volume that could increase the wave size. As someone mentioned in another thread, the additional drag would require you to compensate by steering in the opposite direction slightly...
