Yamaha hull filled with water, starts, won’t run

Sou ds like it still has water in fuel. Carb bowls and or tank. A bottle of Heet is probably not going to fix it. Typical symptoms are exactly as described, reluctant starting but will idle, dies as soon as you touch the throttle.

Lots of experience here so figure I’ll ask - outboard Mercury engine vibration

Glad you found the issue and it was something simple to repair.

Lots of experience here so figure I’ll ask - outboard Mercury engine vibration

Ok, tough to tell, but I think you have a prop with an integrated hub there, if that is true, it definitely looks to me like its been slipping.

Port engine won't start [Solved and Fixed]

Yes, I believe that is the correct schematic for the circuit you need. And I also believe you have the correct wires highlighted. You should be looking for an open circuit. I would start with a continuity test on each wire between the switch connector and the ecu connector. With both...

Port engine won't start [Solved and Fixed]

I don't believe that is the diagram you need. All that is for is the cranking circuits, not the run circuits. You said it cranks fine, but won't run. You need the actual run diagram. It'll probably have the injectors and coils on it as well as the ignition switch and the safety kill switch...

Lots of experience here so figure I’ll ask - outboard Mercury engine vibration

I would look really close at the splined interface where the drive sleeve and the drive sleeve adapter interface. Those are parts b and d on the schematic. That interface is what transfers torque from the prop shaft to the prop and is designed to slip if the prop contacts anything. Once it...

    Upper Chesapeake Yamaha Run?

There actually is a reasonably deep channel the runs across the north end of the flats from Havre de Grace to the Northeast River. Popular hangout spot up there, too.

Is the Chesapeake City Boat Ramp short?

There's is parking on Bethel Rd, on the grass shoulder on the right and up in the field on the left, but it all fills up pretty quickly. If you're quick, you can prep in line while waiting your turn.

Is the Chesapeake City Boat Ramp short?

Launched there plenty of times, it's not short as far as the ramp length goes. However, it is very tight to maneuver and there is extremely limited parking. I wouldn't recommend going there unless you are extremely confident in your trailer backing skills. A lot of locals who are very vocal...

Do you need a captain's license?

The reason is there are too many unlicensed boaters who take people out fishing, etc for a fee and then attempt to exploit the loophole by claiming the "fee" was just gas money or whatever. Yes, it is a technicality, but it is there for them to use against someone if they need to. Obviously...

Do you need a captain's license?

I believe you are correct, Julian. Technically this also includes if you make people pitch in for gas, beer, bait, etc.

Post up your funny MEMES (Nothing Political Please)

Probably should've brought their "other car".

Post up your funny MEMES (Nothing Political Please)

It has less to do with old cars and more to do with old oil quart cans. They disappeared about the same time steel beer cans did.......and men haven't been men since. 😉

    CNC hobbyist

I dont know your software, but in Vectric all you do is add clearing bits to the toolpath you create when converting the CAD file to a CAM file. The program will automatically create as many toolpaths as needed for whatever bits you choose to use. If you want to use 10 different clearing bits...

No, there are up spiral bits and down spiral bits. Edit: Upon re-reading, I realized that you may have been joking around....

Switch to a down spiral bit to prevent the tear out and splintering on the top surface. Also, a normal and very doable depth of cut in hardwoods like sugar maple, walnut, wenge and the like, is about 1/8" at a time with a carbide router bit. Plywood like you're using you should be able to do...

I've been using a CNC router for a couple of years now, mostly for wood projects. It all looks like good advice here, I would add a coue small suggestions for you. Use pieces of insulating foam from the big box store to test out your final design, and as an alternative to mechanical clamps...
