Soo after some tinkering I have been able to start both engines, with the help of starter fluid, however they both die pretty quick. This leads to be believe the engines aren't getting fuel. I have added some fuel to the tank but when I turn the key I don't hear any fuel pump or noise of fuel delivery. Would my next step be pull the floor and check the tank / fuel pump(s).

Thanks,

Joe

I would pull a fuel line off an engine to see if the pump is functioning before pulling the floor

Both engines are able to start. Starboard side starts and runs nicely however, port side engine dies fast even with starter fluid. I pulled both fuel lines and with the turn of the key fuel rushes out of the fuel line.

I then reinstalled the line and starboard engine is running great, port side still same no start.

Not sure what the next step is. 100 new and charged battery , all fuses are good.

dang man dang.

So port engine does run on starter fluid, but only briefly. Usually if it's fuel only the engine can run on starter fluid for several seconds as long as you keep spraying. The fuel circuit is generally not the issue on these boats, but if you can get it to run with starter fluid it might be the problem. Can you confirm the engine indeed runs on starter fluid and does not start with the lanyard off?

A YDS would be a great next step so you could check if there are any suspicious readings.

where are you located?

YDS= yamaha diagnostics system. Computer program and cable used to diagnose the engine.

The one thing that fails often is the lanyard/kill switch. But if it starts with starter fluid it wouldn't be it. If you are willing to diagnose some more I would suggest disconnecting the kill switch and trying again. 9/10 no start issues reported on this boat on the forum, the cause is the lanyard switch.

Todays Results....

The Port side engine is no longer running or semi-running. It will turn over and sounds like it wants to start but never gets going even with a healthy dose of starter fluid. Fuel is flowing well from the fuel line. I ran out about a gallon of fuel thinking maybe the gas was old or had condensation in it. Might need to drain all the old fuel and add new gas with some type of cleaner/additive.

Thoughts?

If you have spark air and fuel it should sputter at least. Something is missing, and I'm afraid I don't know what at this point.
