Here is where I am. I had just received a color copy of the WDM of the ECU and the switch panel when I received an unfortunate call about a death in the family. I stopped everything at that point. When I left off I was going to research the fact that I have power at the brown wire from the starter relay with the key in the "off" position when there should not be causing the starter to be powered and motor. I was told by a tech that it could be caused by another small relay in the fuse box. The only other relay that I know of is the main fuel pump relay. If anyone out there has ran across this problem please let me know. I am just going off of visual memory knowledge of what is in the fuse box. I did not have a chance to ring the wires out and see. I am out of town and unable to access the info I received. Any help T/S this would be greatly appreciated. I am out of pocket for the next 5 days. Thanks in advance
Well I was able to get back to the boat briefly and swap the other relay that is in the fuse box between port and starboard. They call it the main and fuel pump relay assy (p/n 60E-81950-00-00) it is a definite fix! The problem followed the relay. It was stuck energized and powering the brown wire to the ignition switch and then to the starter when the switch was in the off on or off positions causing the starter to motor. Woohoo!
