2" Wake/Surf Tower Racks

Has anyone had success mounting a 2" collar on our towers (which I believe are 1 7/8")? I was thinking I could add some extra shims to make a tight fit.

Anyone do this and have you had any issues with slippage?

I have not done this, but will warn you that even when the size is appropriate many still suffer with slippage. I would think that you would have a huge slippage issue if you did that. However, you can buy the right size clamps seperately. Most places will swap out the clamp for the correct size if you ask.

yep, what he said. The 2" collar will need to be switched out....when you put the weight on there or hit a wake it will slip

I built collars for mine out of UHMW on a lathe. The look extremely cool but they slip no matter what I did. I even tried grip tape underneath. I finally drilled and tapped the rack fittings and put a nice 1/4" allen bolt in as a pin, with a corresponding hole in the tower. Now they don't slip. Cam.
