According to the 2011 Service Manual the 1.8 engines require a valve clearance check and [possible] adjustment at 200 hours. Has anyone done this service, or had it done? Measuring the clearances seems pretty straight forward but does require some special tools. Of course any adjustments require removal of the appropriate camshaft. This would be an advanced DIY project.

The only other 200 hour items, other than the annual stuff, are the rubber couplings and engine mounts. I assume we're just looking for visible damage here, cracks, abnormal movements, that kind of thing. Any thoughts on this?

I'm over 200 hours and have not done valve clearances. I wouldn't mess with it until you notice the engines starting hard or running rough.
