2003 Seadoo Sportster Throttle Problem

Just tried to take my Sportster out for first time today. The shifter is locked in Reverse because the throttle will not go all the way back to idle. It will only go middle or forward. Any ideas to get the throttle back to idle so I can shift? Of course it won't crank since I can't get it to neutral.
