Selling my 2007 Yamaha SX230 HO. Owned the boat for about 10 years now, used it a lot on the lakes when we lived in NC, but haven't had time to use it really since moving to FL and starting a family. Located in Melbourne, FL. Asking $15k, which I think is fair, but open to offers if you think I'm off on value.

The good:
Runs well, both motors are original and never had any issues
Super low hours (hour meter in the engine bay reads 52 - I thought it was more like 75-100, but it had really low hours when I bought it and we really just cruised to the sand bar and then chilled)
Infinity Bluetooth stereo, Rockford Fosgate Speakers, Rockford Fosgate subwoofer (not installed), Infinity wired remote (not installed).
Comes with just a ton of "stuff". Life jackets, inflator, anchors, cobra jet fins, probably some robes, 3 batteries, an ACR, bumpers, bumper balls, extra lights, a stainless scupper plug, etc.
Galvanized trailer rebuilt in 2021 with new axles, 4 wheel disc brakes, new wheels and tires, dual jacks (one heavy duty roller, one fixed), spare wheel and tire, new coupler, prepped to go electric over hydraulic if desired.

The bad:
Sun fading all around. I started wet sanding and polishing the hull, but with two small kids and other hobbies I haven't had a chance to sand and polish the whole thing, and likely won't. It cleans up nice and you could probably get it looking spiffy with a weekend of getting after it. The decals are basically all faded as well and largely removed.
The seats are similarly faded and dirty in spots. They're far better today than when I bought it as I repaired some split seams (not super well), and refinished the seats with vinyl paint, but they're not perfect for sure. We always threw towels down on the seats anyways so they weren't as hot, so it wasn't a big priority.
A few chips here and there (it is almost 20 years old)
A spot in the bow that was chipped, then patched, but never sanded smooth and paint touched up. It's under the grab rail and I worked on it here and there but never just fully resolved it.
The folding bench seat by the head has a support piece broken off. It didn't affect anything so I never did anything beyond trying to glue it back together. Epoxy would probably do the trick here, and I think the piece is still kicking around in the boat. That seat also has a few small split seams.
House batteries are 2019 vintage. They seem "ok", but they're probably something I'd consider replacing.
Needs a new cover. The current one tore because I've never gotten a really good anti pooling setup, so the water would pool up and the cover would tear. I've been using MSC covers that are pretty good, and actually hold up to UV and water really well, they just don't hold up to massive amounts of pooling water.
Steering felt a little tight to me. That might just be me forgetting what it feels like, but it doesn't feel as smooth as the throttle cables (which have both been replaced in my ownership). Maybe a drip feed of penetrating fluid would help, or just replace them. Or maybe I'm just being hyper critical.
Needs cleaned. I assume this is a given since it's a boat and boats always need cleaned, but I figured I'd mention it.

I'm probably being a bit overly critical, but I want people to have a good understanding that this boat isn't perfect, but it's a nice solid boat that won't let you down with a little bit of love shown to it.

The ole 230s will always have a place in my heart as ours was ridiculously reliable with 650ish hours on it when we sold it.

Sad to see you sell but understand how much work kids are when they’re young. Good luck with the sale and I hope you get back into boating when they are older!

Thanks, yeah these boats are honestly ridiculously good. The motors are super reliable and pretty good on gas. The interiors are spacious and comfortable. They're fast as all hell. Light enough to tow behind a regular midsize truck OR SUV without some huge tow beast. They just do everything, extremely well, in my (very biased) opinion they're the finest boats built.
