2012 YDS scanner help

Hello, I am having issues with my 2012 ar190. It starts for a second then shuts off right away. So I bought the yds scanner. Main question: where does it plug in to the boat? lol Is it under the dash/helm? I thought i found a spot under the dash but when I tried to scanner it, the computer said unavailable to scan. So not sure if I have it plugged in the right spot i am clueless to this, any help is greatly appreciated

I assume they are all connected in the same spot, usually and access port in the engine bay.

this is a dual engine, mine is not like this. No cover plate like that.

Check on the back wall of the engine bay.
