Did a test drive of 2013 SX192 with 70-something hours or so.
Put a deposit for it last fall, spent entire winter watching all related YT videos, and finally was able to take it for a spin today.
I'm getting cold feet, and I'm not sure if should still take it.
My main concerns:
1. The motor is loud. It is a freaking banshee over 4000rpm but it's not silent at idle either. I was surprised to hear almost V8-like low frequency bop-bop-bop-bop sounds at idle.
2. The throttle feels almost like all or nothing. I'm new to the jet boats (except for my jet kayak!
), I'm aware there is no steering in neutral but I wasn't ready to experience next to no lateral thrust in no wake mode.
3. The drivetrain isn't smooth. I'm not sure whether it's the motor, the supercharger or the impeller but my feet and my back both feel the rumble, starting from idle.
4. The tiny screen in the tachometer is basically unreadable. I mean you can see something like gas gauge but it takes a lot of effort even on a stationary boat to read the GPH or some other numeric information.
5. Speaking of GPH - that boat seems to have a drinking problem. 3+ GPH at 2000rpm - is it normal?
Top speed with 2 people onboard and full tank was around 45mph @ 7700rpm on somewhat rough water - is it normal for likewise boat?
Owners of SX192 or AR192, please share your opinion!

I've posted these questions in both main FB Yamaha groups and the answers were all over the place (BTW thanks for those who took their time to reply!)
So most people were saying - yes, all this things you noted are usual to Yamaha jet boats and SHO 1.8L specifically.
Many people suggested to upgrade to 210 because those MR-1's are better engines.
Some suggested to walk away because that might not be a good boat for me.
My main worry is that I don't have any idea how the healthy supercharged SHO should sound.
Is what I hear normal, or is it SC clutch falling apart?
Is the timing chain loose and contributing to that loud orchestra?
Is basically no propulsion under 2000-2500rpm normal, or the shifter cable needs adjustment because the neutral is slightly reversing and fist forward ident is actually neutral?
I really wish there was another 192 or even 190 somewhere nearby so I could compare!
