Has anyone added speakers to a 2015 AR240 Swim Platform?

Thought about it, decided tower speakers would accomplish the same goal plus, so I went that route.

Also added 2 mid cabin speakers.

Nice, did you stick with the factory size speakers or went bigger? Spacing looks pretty tight.
When beaching, do need to turn the volume up pretty high to hear tower speakers

I went with the Yamaha JL audio slampaks. The one for the tower and the one for the cabin. Additionally, two more of the JL audio speakers for the mid cabin add ons.

I am very happy with the system, but there is a more economical way to go if I had to do it all again.

I am no expert/audiophile, but I enjoy the tower speakers when we swim/beach.

If you are going to go the tower route forget about the swimdeck. The tower speakers will accomplish what the swim deck speakers would and more. If you don't plan to go that route, I would use 6.5". You know those will fit based on what is on the 242 LS and they sound great amp-ed up.

With tower speakers I keep thinking I may hit my head
I don't think 6.5 will fit on the swim platform / the 242 LS the speaker’s kind of cut into the cushions

Have you looked at the Wet Sounds Stealth sound bar? At first (speaker alone) I didn't think it looked good. But when mounted I liked a lot. You can have it flip so it's on top of your tower to avoid head issues too.

how is the sound quality??

@Benny Sibbitt -- Not sure what boat you have, but if you mount the tower speakers towards the sides, it will not be an issue with head room. I am 6'5" and the speakers align behind and to the outside of the captains chairs -- so I physically could not walk there if I tried. It should not be a problem. I agree with the above comments -- The tower speakers are great for beaching. It is a more direct sound as it is meant to be heard by wakeboards 70 feet behind the boat going 20+ MPH, so they do not need to be that loud if you are standing just off the swim platform. (Not to mention, my are Crazy cheap -- but do a perfect job)
