What is your top speed?

Mine, measured by the speedometer on the dash is 36MPH that is with the Bimini deployed, full tank of fuel and 7 adult males (1400lbs) plus gear.

Is this about right?

Wow! I'm surprised it got on plane with that much weight.

Yup
Kick the guys off drop the top and ditch the gear to get 45

Ok, I got a great laugh on that one! She still jumps to plane very quickly, but maybe I will try without passengers and see what that gets me.

I think you have got yourself a fine 190!
42-43mph GPS at 7500-7600RPM is great (with a lighter load).
But of course it also depends where you boat, elevation, air temp/humidity.

Oh hey... this is also in Tampa FL on a fresh water lake that is warm as bath water.

In that case you should be happy with 40mph! And it is air humidity and atmospheric pressure that seems to matter most.

When conditions are right...
This is about 46mph GPS. Stock boat, similar conditions as above. (Ahh, and bad depth gauge. )

And here is personal best in my SX190, this is GPS, but with some mods:
49.3mph

2016 AR190, half tank, two people on board, 42MPH at 7300RPM

I hit 40 on my SX190 today with 3 on board @7600 rpm with half tank of fuel. Using BP regular 87 w/10% ethanol. I have been breaking her in easy and now it's time to crank it up.
