Engine is smoking and engine pilot light indicating a fault detected. I looked under boat to ensure no weeds caught in grates as I have shallow lake. I think it is going into limp home mode as I cannot go more than a few miles an hour. Anyone have a suggestion?

Please be sure to use the @HELP in the body of the text. This is an emergency call to all members who are a part of the help team. You have twins and I assume it's only one engine. Best thing is to shut the one engine down and ride home on the other. You can get on plane (takes a little bit longer) with one engine. Since this was over 12 hours ago, I assume you're home??? Please let us know.

Can you tell us what you found? Why was the engine smoking; over heated, no oil, no anti-freeze?

Do you have an overheat indicator?

Was it grey smoke or white steam?

I understand your cooling system has open and closed sections. If the open system does not have enough flow it could make steam.
