Have a 2018 212x, owners manual says we need to leave the house battery on when moored as we leave in a wet slip. Can anyone confirm? We do have a pro marine battery charger/conditioner that is plugged in, just want to confirm the setup we should leave the boat in?

Was instructed (with 2019) that the bilge was changed (either '18 or '19) to a temp controlled bilge that bypasses the switches and is wired direct. I hope I wasn't given bad info, but I'm just passing along what I was told at the dealer.

This is true of the 2017 212X but I thought that changed for the '18s to a float contolled bilge pump that was always live. Don't blindly believe the manual, I've found Yamaha manuals to be inaccurate on details like that on more than one thing. Personally the only way I trusted how my bilge pump worked was to fill the bilge area with water and try all the variations of battery on/off, switch (auto, on, off) etc. Now I know for sure cause I've seen it.

My 2017 definitely needs the switch on. It cycles every few min testing for water

Call yamaha directly and confirm, my understanding was ALL models 2018-up are now direct wired.
Saw your comment on battery maintainer. Careful I had 2 of the sport 12 models by that brand, they last a year before they shut down/stop working or in the case of my last one they malfunction and over charge/ cooked 2 new batteries. Take a look at the minnkota maintainers.
