I picked up a spare from my dealer. He said occasionally folks won’t want the shipping cover so he just wads them up in a side store room and waits for someone to ask about one. If he has it, he sells it for $100. He figures he didn’t pay anything for it so isn’t trying to make it a big deal about it.

Glad I lucked into it. But, I would have happily paid more than that for it.

They are great if you travel long distance with your boat . There is nothing more stressful then driving with your mooring cover on as it pours and the cover fills the $1,000.00 mooring cover with water. It also protects the hull from debri and abrasion it’s felt lined and covers 100% of the sides.

Tower stays up on the 242x, cover looks like it wasn't used much by previous owner.

I am not sure if it fits the AR240. I am in northern NJ.

I’d be surprised if this is still available. Food for thought, yamaha doesn’t sell these covers they are included with the purchase of the boat or should have been. Also, when Yamaha stops making the boat the cover fits they stop making the shipping cover as well. The 240s were replaced by the 250s recently so there will be fewer shipping covers available going forward.
