2018 AR190 Bilge

Just did the motor break in of my new 2018 AR190. I read the entire manual and it says when you are in the water with the boat, turn on the bilge pump. It says it will automatically turn on when it senses water. I am pretty sure my pump runs constantly when the switch is on. Anyone else have this same problem?

Yes in 2018 they changed the pump but didn't change the manual. So you should no longer keep the bilge switch on. It will automatically go on via a float. I think I also heard that it will go on even if the main power cut off switch by the battery is off but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Yeah, I found that out the hard way. My AR195 is in a slip. I turned on the bilge from the helm after mooring. It drained the battery dead. I've never seen it come on automatically.
