Got rope stuck on lake yesterday. I was able to remove but prior to getting rope out, I tried taking intake grate off. Rear has two bolts that came out fine, the front broke loose and just spun. I cannot locate nuts, can any have experience with this or know location? I need to locate to put sealant on. Thanks

To my knowledge, they are VERY difficult to get to located under the engine. But I've never had to access them.

For future reference, DO NOT TAKE OFF THE GRATE! It is much, MUCH easier to go through the jet pump from the stern. Scarab needs to change the grade bolts to rivets so people stop doing this. lol

Here's a video on the PROPER way to access the pump.

Don't feel bad about it, it seems it's a right of passage for all new Scarab owners. But please make sure to learn this for next time. In the meantime, good luck tightening those bolts/nuts and sealing them.
