Hello everyone, I’m tired of messing with this thing and trying to figure out why it won’t work, i bought the OEM mooring cover (MAR-190TR-BK-19). I followed the instructions step by step, to start, the mid cleats on both sides are a few inches off (too far forward), then to top it off it appears to be a few inches too short, I cannot get it to cover the aft cleats properly as I have to stretch the material like crazy just to get the cleats in the hole. It appears like Yamaha might have taken the same specs from the 2018 model and thought it would be the same, I am getting angry at this point so looking for some guidance from anyone who has the mooring cover or has had the same issues. Thanks in advance

Are the ratchet straps loose and side clips undone? Give a little slack at the vertical velcro.

Yes, the clips were detached and the ratchet straps were loosened all of the way. Looking at the cover the distance between the cleats is different than the boat cleats distance

I want to say that I read somewhere that they did not change the part numbers on the covers and there was some mix ups in what was which between 18 and 19. Mine seems to fit. Took a shot of the label in case you can compare to yours.

Mine is the same part number, I have the boat out on the water now but I’m going to try to shift the cover back and see if that works

I have a 190sx so my cover is different but my gas cap doesnt line up. It is about 2 inches off

Near the back there are two large covers, one on each side, toward the bottom of the cover, there are ratchets under them, --loosen the ratchet until the cover frees up, also usually a velco strap that you can adjust. loosen up the velcro until you can get the cover over the back of the boat, once you have done that reattach velcro and ratchet it back up to snug up cover.
Also the two straps hanging off the back, hook them to the rear tie downs and pull snug, ti swill help pull the cover over the back and hold till you get it ratcheted.
