Got our new boat and brought it home this week end to work on getting her ready for the summer. We had watched a video on a guy putting all this stuff in his 190 and was impressed. So we got a few things that he had and was ready to go but sadly the new design is not very good. In making the seats hinged they made all the openings smaller and of course taking out lounge on starboard side for table reduced storage. Had small nice cooler to replace the one that came with boat, nope won’t fit in any compartment. How about a couple of Tommy Bahamas chairs, nope won’t fit in any compartment. There is a lot of room in the storage areas, just not big enough openings to get any thing in. We are searching for a hard side cooler that is 13” tall max! Rant over lol?

I have a 2017 AR190. Non-hinged seats. No captains chairs, and "J Seating". Takes a significant amount of "stuff" on the boat to get all the compartments to capacity.

I thought the same thing when I saw the '19 layout and hinged seat design. Was wondering if anyone was having issues with the smaller openings. I suppose you could always remove the hinges and just have stationary seats like the previous models?

Not sure I'm much help here. Sorry.

Thats a bummer. I wonder if there is a way to remove or unclip part of the hinge temporarilly? You have some good storage on the boat if you can accomplish that. Good luck!

Removing the seats wont help as they made the openings smaller!

Man that sucks. Seems awfully short sighted to do that. Dammit Yamaha knock it off!

The same thing happened when they went with hinged seats in the larger boats. They had to reduce the opening to make room for the hinges and such. Redesigning the side padded upholstery would have probably allowed them to come up with using a piano hinge and retain the larger openings for wh storage compartments.
