Hello fellow Jet Boaters!

I purchased a 2020 242x new, from a dealer; and have had electrical issues since day 1. Is this a known issue, that anyone has dealt with before? Details below:

During the first 10 hour "break in", we noticed that the speed would go blank at multiple speeds. During the 10 hour maintenance we called this out, and the shop said they had a couple of ideas.

When we finally got the boat back, the head unit worked ok for the first few engine hours. Then it started doing the same thing again. We called the shop, and they said it would be a month before they could look at it, and to deal with it until the fall when there were fewer boats. We took it in and they said they addressed it.

When the boat hit the water again the next season, the same thing continued to happen. We took the boat to a different shop, and they said that it was an issue with the head unit, and that they would get in contact with yamaha for a replacement, since we were still under warranty.

14 months later, the new head unit arrived and was installed. The first trip we took this year, with the new head unit, had the exact same issues. In addition, after running to our favorite cove and sitting for a while, one of our engines wouldnt engage for the trip back to the dock. We turned the engine on and off several times, verified that the throttles were in neutral, and tried both single and duel throttle modes. Luckily, after turning off all power for ~5 minutes; we were able to get both engines to function properly for the return trip.

We rely HEAVILY on the speedometer for wake surfing, as we are just starting to get into it. When these issues arise, we basically have to shut it down completely. Has anyone else had this issue and actually gotten it resolved? I dont want to lose another summer of boating to this issue from the factory....

Thanks!
