I'm still hopeful to receive my 195S by March (deposit 8/27). So I'm buying some bells & whistles to be ready (bored in VA winter). Looking at Wet Sounds tower speaker. It states the clamp will fit tower up to 2' in diameter. I only have pictures to go by but these towers look very robust (thick). Any input is greatly appreciated.

I can't confirm the dimensions of the 2021 tower, but on my 2019 AR195 the front tube on the tower is 2 3/8" and the rear tube is 1 7/8". I am similarly looking to add tower speakers this spring and plan to mount mine to the front tube. The 2" mount you mention would only fit the rear tube.

I believe that WetSounds has two mounts, the standard (which would fit either tube) and a "micro" mount that only goes up to 2". I could be wrong about that term, but I believe that's how it is sold.

In any event, I plan to add some WS Icon 8 towers using the standard SWIVEL mount. Personally, I don't think there's enough headroom under the tower in these boats to use a fixed mount over the driver's seat. Some people have done it with no problems, but I would fully expect to hit my head moving around. However, the swivel mounts allow you to push the speaker location outwards on the tower and the swivel gets you back to the correct speaker angle for rear projection. Something to consider.

Glad to help. Depending on what your use case, you might also consider the WS Icon series. They are 8" drivers as compared with the 6.5" Recon series and are rated for higher power output.

Frankly, I considered those Recons but am concerned they would not have enough power to project behind the boat at speed. These engines are not quiet. The Icons come in white, you can find some deals and packages at Creative Audio - Car Stereo, Car Speakers, Subwoofers, Marine Audio and more.

Hey Gallobg: I was thinking about your comment of having the speakers on the front bar of you tower. I read somewhere to consider how the bar is laid out when you fold it down. Would the speakers hit windshield or whatever? The other note I read was to make sure you not put the wires through where the tower hinges away from the boat. just fyi btw - I'm Mark out of Richmond

I have Icon8 on swivel mounts on the front bar of my 2019 195. Been very happy with them so far. This is ideal as the wire routing hole at the base of the tower is only on the front bar. So one less hole to drill.

I have had to drop my tower to the maximum possible level due to garage door clearance requirements. Where they are mounted allows clearance of the steering wheel. It looks like it may be possible to mount further outboard on the curve of the tower but it may be too close to the sides depending on angles mounted at. It's not an option for me due to my required rack mounting positions.

I wonder if my 2018 195 seat swivels like that...lol. I don't think it does

You can check - loosen the knob that helps keep the seat from moving, pull the seat off the leg, straight up and check inside the leg for any small bolts that would prevent movement. My seat leg had a bolt to stop it from turning past about 80 degrees - likely a safety feature so you don't turn the seat while driving and hit the throttles and/or steering. Remove the bolt and the seat will swivel around 180 degrees into a lounger.

Yes the wetsounds speakers fit nicely. Their clamps are great. Check my build thread for details if you want. I'm running Rev10s on our 2020.
