Ok so I haven’t put the boat in the water in over a year.. didn’t check steering before launching and quickly realized the wheel was complete stiff. Had to be helped back onto the trailer.

Several battery resets, hooked the batteries up to a charging source, ran motors on the trailer, nothing works. Not throwing any Connext codes either. Cannot adjust nozzles at all, throttle gates work just fine.

This isn’t a “help” post but I did tow the boat 4hrs to Destin for the week to hit up crab island. At the beach now making the most of it for the fam.

Batteries are the original.. could they be the culprit even if the power steering is inop with my Noco charger hooked up??

Nothing electrical will fix your problem, you have cable driven steering, you need a new cable set. You have an XE which does not have electrical components in the steering. You have the same setup as an AR250
There is the possibility something in the rudder or buckets is jammed but my experience says it cables

I agree with Neutron on this and thought maybe you had chosen the wrong model in your profile. But he's right, there are no electronic components in your steering. There is no reason why you cannot spin your wheel with everything shut off.

Steering cables should not be froze up on a 2022 model boat, unless saltwater really did a number on them. It sounds like it's time to get under the swim platform and insect your jet nozzles. Start by disconnecting the steering cable. That will allow you to see if the nozzle are stuck, or the steering cable is stuck. Sorry to state the obvious, but if one moves and the other does not, at least you will know what is causing it.

My guess is like Neutron, the cables are probably fine and something is jammed around the bucket/nozzle assembly keeping it from rotating left to right. This is the same culprit that keeps folks from going into reverse, as a pebble will jam up the reverse bucket.

Good luck!

Try moving the nozzles back and forth manually while on the trailer. Maybe you can break them loose enough to get some movement then start spraying the cables as you keep turning back and forth. I've made a habit of doing mine each time now before i put it in the water. After I tighten drain plug I move jet nozzles back and forth while spraying lube on them and the rudder bolt and no trouble since.
