Hi- first post, thanks for the add.

New to boating and put a deposit down on a 2021 sx195 in September. I’m in the northeast, so the dealer said they wait to confirm there orders with Yamaha, and we’d wait till feb/March to set a firm delivery date. I’ve seen multiple posts where order are getting cancelled and wanted to get your thoughts? My dealer said my order is confirmed by yamaha, but in the next breath says they don’t know what they are getting or when delivery will be. Started to get concerned.
thoughts?
Thanks!

look for used. i found more for sale on the facebook groups than here. or hold out. some folks get lucky. ?‍♂️

good luck

Hey JCamm: My deposit 8/27 for 195S. Last week my dealer told me I was confirmed but no eta. It's my understanding they will indeed ship confirmed orders. And yes many dealers have orders that have been cancelled. I'm in VA so not a big deal until spring but still nervous. Good luck. Let me know if you get the call.

Welcome to the group. If the dealer said your order is still confirmed, that's good news. The second part about not knowing when they're getting the boat is typical for how it works with Yamaha. As I understand it, the dealers usually don't know when boats are being shipped to them until they're loaded up in Tennessee and ready to leave the factory. For example, my dealer called me on a Thursday and said he found out that morning my boat was on the way. It arrived at the dealership the next day, 24 hours after he was notified.

Thanks for letting me know. It makes me feel a little better!

TY!

We are in the same position, it does get you worried. Especially when marina fees and other stuff needs to be purchased. Don't want to spend all the extra money and then be told months down the line sorry your boat order was canceled. I spoke to our dealer today and he said we are in the "confirmed" category as well and others have yet to get that who ordered after us. Keeping our fingers crossed it comes, atleast we have a few months before we can get on Lake Erie.

Received an email reply from my dealer today and like many we were told that there are two 195s one in each color as confirmed and we are number 1 on the list. Again like everyone else no time frame for delivery. If it arrives before mid March it will just sit in their lot anyway. Maybe the timing will be just right.

I'm with you on the confirmed list. I had the guy send me a screen shot saying it was 'Confirmed' Shipping status said TBD. I'm nervous as well but nothing we can do except hope it come and better hope it arrives in March or early April.

Even seeing that would be somewhat reassuring.
