Just picked up a new 2021 255xd which has the drive system on the steering wheel. The boat is on the trailer and in neutral. Can anyone tell me if the jet baffles are correct? The port engine looks to be in neutral and the starboard looks to be in forward. I haven't heard from the dealer yet. Thank you.

For sure not correct. Power on the boat, see if they reset. Otherwise I believe there's a procedure to reset for e-drive boats.

Port is in Neutral, Starboard is in Foward.

No idea how the DRiVE system is setup to leave them when you turn the boat off.

your articulating keel looks slightly misaligned as well.

Thank you. Will try it.

It could be the angle of the photo is skewing the keel. I'll look into it.

Interesting that they're in opposite positions, but I agree with the others that it only matters what they're doing when the boat is turned on. In my 252SE, the engines actually have to be started for the buckets to start moving (can't just be key on with engines off). I think that's true for all E-series boats, which yours is. I figured all this out last fall when installing my Thrust Vectors--I wanted to make sure the buckets could still move freely and had to actually fire up the engines to be able to control the movement of the buckets.

How do you like the Thrust Vectors on the new 25' boats? I'm considering adding them if they help with the jet spray. I have the drive system and it makes driving the boat at slow speeds already very easy IMO. I'm used to driving my 08' AR210 and it didn't have any cobra jets or Thrust Vectors and I didn't think it was hard once you got used to it -- but the new boat with the iDrive is very easy IMO.

I really like having the Thrust Vectors for low speed handling, but unfortunately I'm not the best person to ask about the jet spray. We haven't done any tubing/surfing/wakeboarding behind the boat yet (will probably get out for some tubing next week). Also, I have the Thrust Vector X, picked up on the group sale last fall, and JBP now has the new version out which is supposed to be even better with jet spray.

There are still manual controls for the buckets behind the helm, correct?

Yes, the manual controls are still there if you need to use them. For my purpose, it was easier to just fire up the engines and move the throttles back and forth real quick to make sure the buckets still moved after installing my Thrust Vectors.

Fucking yamaha lol. Dude your articulating keel rod is installed wrong and bent. Bring that shit back. Here's a picture of mine the correct way and not BENT. Yamaha needs a serious social media ass raping over quality control.
