2022 FSH Sport Anchor

Hello!

I just got my 2022 FSH and been looking around for the anchor that fits in the locker. Any suggestions or links you can share? Anchor that was in the boat kit from dealership is too small. I was considering a 8lb anchor but not sure if its too small for the locker.

Fortress FX7 only weighs 4lbs. Trim about 1/2" off each side of crossbar fits great in the locker anchor hold downs. Use at least 4' of chain.

You can find a lot of posts on anchors here. I think it depends heavily on where and how you will be anchoring.

I bought a fortress FX-7 based on reviews. It fits great and works great if your anchoring in sand. It’s a little difficult to set in shallow water because you really have to hurry it (tons of videos online showing length of rope and hot to set this anchor).

I ended up getting a box anchor( link below) because we bounce between Texoma (sandy bottom) and Tenkiller (rock bottom). The box folds up and works great, my buddies typically tie up to me. The only problem is it’s heavy and has to be collapsed, getting it in/out of the locker could be a problem for some boaters depending on age and physical condition. If you get a box anchor, be sure to line your compartment or it will Get scraped up.
