Most likely I will end up with the truck.
The strange part about owning truck, when you don’t have it - you want it, when you have it - you question why you have it, since you are using bed of the truck couple times a year and tow with it once or twice.

We tow nearly every weekend and the RAM has a lot of room in the cab for cargo, and rides like an SUV - that's mainly why we bought it. If we only towed twice a year, we wouldn't need it.

Keep it under 68 mph...that's where it hits 2,000 rpm and the variable valve timing starts to open the intakes longer creating more power but consuming more fuel. And the terrain is fairly flat where we live so not a lot of hills which would drop that a bit.

How is your trailer&boat so much heavier? Mine weighs in just under 5k with about 10% or 5 gallons of gas and all the usual gear like life jackets, towels, etc. A full tank should put it around 5,200.

I always fill up after boating so my fuel is always 100%. I have 500lbs of lead weight in the boat and a big ass JL audio system. Then, I'm easily breaking 6500 after my wife packs her stuff

I love my 2019 Ram Limited - very few issues in the last 4.5 years of ownership. I like to upgrade but, with current prices and really no new features, I haven't found a reason to let her go yet. I put new tires on last summer (Michelins) and now it rides like a luxury vehicle. So nice!

How is it towing such a large boat ? The 285 seems massive when looking at it on the dealership floor. Any issues pulling up hill or braking ? Ever consider a 2500 truck ?

Zero issues, but we don't tow far, only 15min to our slip.
But the road is very steep and the slip in a bad condition.
No problems withe the GC, up or down the hill.
The 4x4 is great.

Since we plan to drive further with the 285 and also need more space we are picking up a 23 Escalade diesel in a few days. Can't wait.

But the GC stays with us, hands down the best vehicle we have had so far.

I'm surprised to hear you say the 3.6 didn't strain. I feel like the 3.6 strains under its own weight in a GC, let alone towing.

Speaking from experience?

My 2019 3.6 does great with my SX190. And I tow in the Sierra Nevada's pretty frequently . That being said, I wouldn't tow anything larger because I'm usually loaded with a lot of gear.

Considering the GC L Altitude with the V-8 as a tow vehicle. Reasonable on a Lease.

Over here, Europe, we have different trailers. The lights are attached to a pull out bar so they are flush with the stern.

The big square signs on the back are warning signals because of the 3m width.
