Does anyone tow their 24 footer with a Grand Cherokee? (or other vehicle rated near 6200 pounds?)

I've been moving our 2020 242SE around our small geographic area with our 2012 Acura MDX. It's tow capacity is 5000lbs, but I'll be perfectly honest - the MDX feels and acts a whole lot better with the 242 behind it than my neighbor's 2018 Tacoma (6800lbs capacity) that I've used a few times in the past.

There are plenty of vehicles that can tow a 24'+ boat, just remember that the strain and wear/tear to the suspension, breaks and trans will be several times more than just driving that vehicle alone. I think medium sized suv/pick-ups are sufficient for relatively short trailering excursions. I just took my 242LS on a 600-mile trek to my lake house for the season. Pulling it with my 3500 5.9L Cummins, the biggest thing i noticed was needing to take an extra fuel stop. Having a tow vehicle almost twice the weight of the trailer certainly makes for a more confident and comfortable trip, at least in my opinion.
