Seems everything i am searching is cable info on 23 and 24' boats.
I lost port cable last night. Almost hit another boat coming in at 10 pm when my wife hit reverse and the boat didn't slow so i hop in seat and went harder reverse but bucket stays open so went harder forward!
Verified once on trailer the bucket wasn't moving from throttle.
Sooo gonna do both while in there and possibly steering cables as well.
Any parts/leads would be appreciated!

Please make sure you post up part numbers and sources when you get things settled.

this is what I bought for my 2009 212x. Worked perfectly.

SeaStar XTREME CCX63317 (17 Feet in Length) is an OEM Direct-Replacement Type Control Cable for SeaStar Solutions and Other Controls which accept “Universal” type 10-32 threaded cable ends

I am taking pictures and video of my process.

get some 1/4" fuel hose and do what I did. Made swapping out the cables a snap. Then just used electrical tape to keep the cables in the hose. Pulled right through easy peasy.

I might use that! I will be doing steering at the same time probably and will be pulling the gas hatch for ease anyways. The transom part will be annoying.
Did you document what you did with the fuel hose somewhere?

My boat had 19' cables! Not 17'
The 17' i bought i had to really assemble almost in place to drop back in. Altogether not a bad job. Did lose a cable in the fuel tank area as my son was pulling pretty quick and it snagged and pulledb off the tape. I put some sound proofing while i was in there.
Now cleaning up my cleanout ports because part of what i have been fighting is the clamp was pushing the rubber into the slots where the dogs catch, and some silicone was in there making it even worse.20200711_070937.jpg

Just a heads up, my 2010 212x has 18ft cables, 17’ ones I ordered made the install at the helm a little more difficult but still work just fine. If I had to do it again I would get 18’ or 19’
