Hi all, Yamaha does a great job comparing their boats on the website for the same year. Does anyone have a good compare of past years of the 212s vs this year? love to see what has changed and what new for 2021
Thank you

Nothing beside colors from what I can tell. Until you get into the SE and SD but they weren't avaiable in 2020.

@Svannorman .... what has probably changed is that you could purchase a 2020 in 2020 and actually receive it in time to use it, whereas if you purchase a 2021 now you will probably receive it sometime after 2025. :cool:

Yamaha is always making slight tweaks to their boats. I agree the 212 hull hasn't changed since 2018 when the hull was widened and the lifting strakes softened. This made for a smoother ride but slightly slower planing speed, and added 2 inches to the width. 2019 upgraded the Connext and removed the analog gauges. 2020 added Marine Mats instead of carpets and went to aluminum wheels. 2021 appears to remain the same although the 1.8L engines may have been improved as Cobrajet seems to think on the waverunner series - this might not apply to the boats - could be a tuning change in the ECU. I'd like to see map data for them to see if was a tune or a physical change to the engines.

Thank you for the first real answer! Appreciate it

@Canuckjetboater , you optimist, you.
@tdonoughue ...... and fellow boaters - my apologies, didn't mean to be negative....mostly frustrated that friends' and forum acquaintances seem to be getting too little information. I just wish the boating companies would be more forthright about what they will be able to ship, when they will be able to ship it and to whom. :cool:
