Has anyone with a 212x replaced their bimini? If so, did you keep any extra parts on hand? Also, did you use the factory replacement kit?

I would live to know if anyone has had a hardtop manufactured? Or a Sunbrella top?

Thanks,
Brian

I'm going to consider this bimini since the one that came with my boat is incomplete. The draw back is that it might interfere with speakers I might add later. Not sure though.

I remember seeing the complete factory replacement from yamahasportsplaza for around $750.

If you end up upgrading, let me know as I would buy a couple of the arms off of you. I bought two last year off a guy on the other site from a 2008 212X only to find out when I got them they were a different size! Who da thunk!

I know at the boat show, I looked at the scarab for a few minutes and it was a good looking boat, but the tower and bimini where less than 6' high and I can only imagine the number of bruised foreheads at the end of the day. The mastercrafts and ski nautiques had great looking sunbrella ones, that looked like hard tops but weren't. I wish there was a better aftermarket variety available.

I'm posting late but late is better then never. I bought a custom built Bimini top for Danny at http://www.towerbiminis.com/
His work is awesome and the fit is perfect. For all those folks out there that need a new top that Yamaha no longer has in stock Danny is your man!
I have a 2010 212X. Here are a few pics of his work:

I have the complete Bimini top for sale off my old 212X.. front and back in black.
