Hi all,

I had a guy upgrade my sound system and add an amp. I noticed he hooked up the amp direct to the main battery (with breaker). I would like to hook the amp up to my dual battery switch but not sure what terminal to connect it to? Common? 1 (new battery) or 2 (original battery). I assume i can leave the negative terminal on the battery? Please help.

Based on your question I am assuming all your electrical is run to the common on the switch, then there is a wire from 1 to one battery and 2 to the other. In that case, it should join all the rest of the stuff attached to the common. That will switch it to whichever battery you are presently using.
