it might be just me, since this is our first boat, and we have been riding through a lot of no wake, and choppy water.. but im getting around 2.5-3 mpg.. ive seen reviews for best cruising rpm (4000) which is where i try to keep it, unless i need to hurdle over an oncoming boat wake, i slow it down to 15-20. The Tango runs great through all rpm range and is extremely quick. Am i at normal usage for fuel, or should be looking at temp sensor and tps adjustment..? Plugs are new, filter is new, fuel filter is new.
thank you all in advance. I think all the reviews for mpg ive read have been with the 175.. which was around 4mpg. just seems like the gauge is always moving.

Hi,
I don't know how many miles I travel but my guideline is that I burn off half a tank in my Tango in half a day of tubing and wake boarding with the kids. No idea how many miles we travel as we go around in circles at various speeds. I wouldn't be suprised if 3 MPG is the right number. We didn't buy a boat to save money or the environment, right?

I just want to make sure the tango is in good health. We bought it for the excitement and the smiles! Was just curious about what others have been seeing.

Sounds about right, I've had my 240 since new in 03 and that's about as good as it gets. I have a Smartcraft monitor on mine, shows GPH, at full throttle these things pull 25 GPH. They are thirsty.

Alright well that’s good to hear! Gives me a little piece of mind.. we’re are you seeing best cruising gph? Same as the 175 around 4K or somewhere else in the RPM band

Whatever it needs to hold in the low 30's for easy cruising, probably about 4500 for me, I don't usually pay much attention to it but GPH climbs in a hurry with the RPM. My Mirage is several hundred lbs heavier than your Tango so I likely run a little higher RPM. My son had a 07 240 Tango till he got a new Yamaha this spring, that thing would fly toping 60 MPH GPS. Loves his new Yamaha but still misses the Tango's performance.

Do they make windshield deletes
For the Yamaha? I cant get passed that. Really bothers my vision forward. And yes the tango is a speed demon! Just need to watch out for the wakes the other boats create. Seems like going straight into them works better than taking it from
The side with less body roll.
