Hey everyone, do you always take your Bimini off the cage while towing? Seems like a pain…

i believe they are rated for 50 mph or Maybe 55mph. There is a thread around here on it, I can't seem to find.

Looked in the manual, states do not exceed 45mph while trailering. Strange because the boat can go faster than that on water

When I boat locally i have the bimini open before i leave the house, the ramp is only 2.5 miles away and I drive 50mph. But wouldn't trailer more than that with it open. I am sure a big blast from an oncoming semitruck could damage it

While trailering or while trailering with the top up?

I have been towing occasional 5 to 10 trips per season trips 20-40 minutes at 55-65 mph and its been fine I do leave it loose. I think most have been damaging it by cranking down on the ratchet then it tears in the corners. The Bimini gets removed on long trips 250 miles if you do take it off snap a picture of how the straps are routed it helps with the correct install. Just to be clear we are talking about the E series and 25 foot Bimini
