242 On I95 Spotted

The speed rating for the Bimini is 45 mph. Just happened to read the tag yesterday.

If someone runs into the owner of this setup you might save their lives or somone elses by letting them know that towing that load with that tow vehicle is likely both dangerous and illegal.

A pathfinder is rated for towing 5k lbs or less. The rating is based on dry weight of the tow vehicle. Lets say the boat and trailer weighed exactly 5k lbs (it weighs more even dry). Once you add a single passenger in the pathfinder or one item that was not in it when you bought it then you are over weight already. If packed up for a trip like bimini this rig could be 20% or more overweight.

I do see overweighted tow vehicles every summer where I live and can't say I have ever seen it go bad. Just the same I would never risk my life or my families lives that way. If this is someone that headed down for the Bimini trip it would not be a bad idea to fly any passengers back home (perhaps passengers were flown down already).

My intent is not to be rude or judgemental but hopefully save someone mechanical issues, injury, or worse.

That poor tow vehicle. I don't even see how it can be enjoyable at all towing with that. My god my F150 has to work to move my boat, and I can tell it's back there for sure. Oh well, to each their own. I just hope I'm not in front of you when you have to stop really fast, or your transmission falls out on side of the road and dies.

Maybe the bimini is deployed to give some lift to that lil Nissan!

I don't think those Pathfinders run 4WD all the time so I don't think you'd want any lift seeing as how it would be in FWD mode .

Seriously speaking though, that thing looks pretty stressed hauling the 242. Not sure I would feel comfortable if I had to do an evasive maneuver while towing.
