My family and I just picked up a used ‘16 242x and I never thought to ask the dealer how to put in the Bimini cover right. Does it go over the whole top and cover the solar panels, or does it slide underneath the solar and leave that portion the panels are attached to exposed?

Over bimini frame. Under solar panel mount frame.
