Hey guys,

Can’t get my center ballast bag to drain. Seems the problem is the system says it’s zero but it’s still 90% full.

I tried to fill it back up but when I say fill (any value) when it’s get full it seems to fill to the point where I’m like good lord that bags gonna pop and it doesn’t stop cuz the system shows 10-15% full . So I manually stop it. Make sense?

Then I try and “drain all” or drain just that tank and only goes as far as the system showing zero even though the bag is 90% full

Bad sensor?

How do I reset it??

I did pull the drain/fill line and let the water from the ballast bag fill the ski locker and drain out so it’s 90% empty now.

So frustrated with my boat.

I've definitely just pulled the hose and let it drain into the bilge and out the drain plug before. I've had more of the issues saying it's full when it isn't, even after calibration. Draining is an easier fix. There is a member that sells a harness to drain/fill without a timer. However, in this case if the boat is on the trailer just pull the hose, make sure the drain is open in the locker and let it drain out the back. If you're still on the water you could let your bilge pump, pump it out. I'd be less inclined to do that and just wait until it's on the trailer.

Thanks @suke

Yea it’s on the water and it’s day 2 of the vacation so it’s not going back in the trailer.

I will pull the hose again when it goes back on but this sucks!

I’ll see what it does later today when we go back out and try to surf after the rain shower passes. Hopefully it will create the values.

Was hoping there was a way to reset then system. You mentioned calibrate. How do I do that?

Apparently on the older boats there was a hidden screen you can access that might get you to the ballast reset levels or something. Try it and see if you get anywhere.

Thanks a ton @haknslash

I’ll see what I can do n the AM.
Yup what he said. On my boat I can get in there and change the timers for filling/draining to a point. On the newer boats they were able to change it to nearly whatever they wanted. Also if you wanted to just keep any eye on filling it up and use it throughout your current trip. Then when it's back on the boat pull the hose and let it drain out.
